What is the weathering process?

This is the process that naturally occurs with Corten Steel. It forms a stable protective ‘rusty/patina’ layer to stop it from rusting and wearing away. This oxidization process eliminates the need for painting and the steel lasts longer.

All Corten steel products are shipped in the raw steel (unweathered) condition. The weathering process takes 6-8 weeks.
Please advise on ordering if you would prefer we send your order in the weathered rust-like state. We can speed up the process and send it rusted.

What types of payment do you accept?

We have these payment options available: Credit Card via secure Stripe, Afterpay, and internet banking.

Shipping & Delivery

We use Mainfreight for our Large Outdoor Fires. These will need to be collected from your nearest Mainfreight depot as they are required to be strapped to a pallet. You will receive a despatch email from them.

Letterboxes, Garden Pillars, Woodstackers & Small Outdoor Fires including accessories are couriered through NZ Couriers and we will advise you when your shipment has been despatched and with tracking details.

How long will it take to get my order?

Our larger steel products are made to order so generally a 2-6 weeks lead time. We will advise if there is a longer wait. Please notify us if you require urgently when placing your order. Woodstackers allow 1-2 weeks. Rural Deliveries and remote locations can take longer.
